The Spacer G is a temporary implantable device, made of a load-bearing structure in AISI 316L stainless steel coated with gentamicin bone cement to help the treatment of an infected total hip replacement using the two-stage method.

Clinical Indications
- To temporarily replace total hip replacements when implants are removed as a result of septic mobility
- The device is positioned in the space left free by the removed infected implants
- The Spacer device is left in situ until the infection is completely treated, a definitive prosthesis is then implanted
- Maintenance of joint space and mobilisation
- Effective in situ, release of gentamicin antibiotic
- Deambulation of the patient with partial weightbearing;*
- Facilitation of definitive re-implant surgery
- Reduction of functional recovery time after the intervention of definitive revision
