Acetabular Reinforcement Mesh

The Acetabular Mesh is a common device used for structural underpinning of cemented/grafted acetabulae.

Clinical Indications
  • The function of the mesh helps contain impacted graft material within the deficient acetabulum and this helps the surgeon to establish an interface upon which to cement a replacement acetabular component
  • Cement has the ability to 'key'into the device, in turn, helping dissipation of cement exotherm
Acetabular Mesh advantages:
  • Versatile and pliable without sacrificing biomechanical integrity
  • Stainless Steel: Fixation augmented with 4.5/6.5mm bone screws
  • Provides structural framework
  • Complements cemented cup fixation with osseointegration of bone graft
  • Minimum 3 year follow - up
